Campsmount

The group ‘Tuesday Night Project’ will be playing at Shakers on Tuesday 8th. at 6.00 p.m.

Our Tuesday evening films over the next 3 weeks are:

* 29th November – Hairspray
* 6th December – Home Alone
* 13th December – Muppets’ Christmas Carol

Due to industrial action the school will be closed to  students on Wednesday 30 November. The school will  be open as usual on Thursday 1 December.

The film showing at Shakers on Tuesday 22nd. November is ‘Tangled’, starting at 5.30pm

Mr Portman, along with several Y9 & Y10 students, represented Campsmount in Askern’s Remembrance Day service today. The service included a prayer of thanks, a reading from the Bible and a reading of the names of the men who lost their lives in both world wars. The last post was played before and after a 2 minutes silence. Special thanks to those students who attended as their impeccable manners and behaviour did everyone at Campsmount proud!

Friday 4 November 2011 – Hot food will be served during and after the firework display at the Lake

Sixth Form Open Evening – will now take place on Thursday 1st December at 6pm

This is an important evening if you are thinking about staying on into the sixth form. It will give you the opportunity to have a chat with teachers about the courses you are thinking of doing and maybe see about others that you may be interested in. See you all there.

Thursday 27 October – Live Band “Tuesday Night Project” 6.00 till 8.00 p.m.

Tuesday 1 November – Halloween Disco (Fancy Dress optional) from 5.00 to 8.00 p.m. Entrance free.

Thursday 3 November – Open Activity session from 5.00 till 8.00 p.m. for 11-19 year olds.

Tuesday 11 October 2011 from 6.00 p.m. Jill North from Sport England will be at Shakers – anyone with any sporting interests please come along and have a chat. Shakers are also looking at forming a girls football team. Would this be of interest to you? Come along and find out.
