We are finally here. Our amazing new school is open to all year groups and Camspmount’s staff are really excited about welcoming our students to their new home. Watch the day unfold live.

Two years after the devastating fire a new school is rising from the ashes!

Wates, our building contractor are collecting old, unused mobile phones in order to send them to Barnardo’s to help raise money. Barnardos are a well known charity whose aim is to transform the lives of vunerable children across the UK.

All students, this week, have experienced some of the great work Barnardo’s does through their year group assemblies.

We would like to show our support for this great cause by asking you to look in your desk drawers etc and dig out any unwanted phones which could help Barnardo’s.  The phones can then be brought into school and dropped off at reception.

The phones don’t need to be fully working as they will be stripped down and recycled. Please send the charger cable if you have it, as that’s worth money too!

From September 2011 we will be changing our uniform. After extensive consultation with students and in time for our move into a new school building we have decided to replace our sweatshirts with a blazer. In addition, we are updating our tie so that students look really smart, too. Full details of the new uniform, including pricing, can be found here

The rules regarding the new school uniform will not apply to students entering year 11 in september 2011, please click here for full details of why this decision has been made.

OK everyone, it’s time to get out your overalls, sharpen your trowels and slap on the cement. Wates, the company that is building our new school, is running a competition to find the best ‘bricklayers’ in the land.

The winners will be able to lay bricks in a small section of the new build and have their names on a plaque there forever.

The competition starts today and will finish on 15th July. Here’s what you have to do:

1 Choose a team of a minimum of 4, maximum of 5
2 Download an application form here
3 Complete the application form and email it to watescomp@campsmount.com (closing date for applications is June 17)
4 One team will be chosen from each year; Y7, Y8, Y9, Y10 & Y12.
5 The bricklay-off will take place on Friday 1 July
6 There will be a prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The winning team will then build a section of the new school on Friday 15 July
