It’s a new term a this is a new start to Campsmount Climbing Club. We are looking for new students to join us in this exciting and challenging sport. It is open to any age group, girls, boys and staff. It is a great way to keep fit and build strength. You do not have to have any previous climbing experience and all the equipment is supplied by the centre.
We will be using the outstanding Leeds Wall as our indoor base and will be, in the summer months, taking some outdoor trips to various climbing locations.
This is an awesome sport and I am sure all involved will love it.
The dates we have booked are: 27th Feb, 12th / 26th March, 16th / 30th April. These are all on a Monday after school and we aim to get back to Campsmount for 7:00pm.
Please see Mr Gualda or Mr Huntridge for more details.
C magazine is an internal publication created by our staff, for our staff. We believe in sharing each other’s expertise and ideas across our college in order to provide the best possible learning experiences for our students. Despite uncertain economic times our 6th form students delivered a record 108 hampers to elderly members of our community. The hampers were made up of kind donations of food and money from Campsmount’s students and staff. This record haul in such austere times simply shows how caring people can be and we would like to express our gratitude to everyone who contributed. Well done to our 6th form students and staff!
It has been another exciting and challenging year at Campsmount and once again we have emerged both stronger and more united. The new building is on schedule and progressing well and we are all looking forward to moving into our new ‘home’ next Easter. This will provide us with a superb learning environment to help us continue and progress the excellent work we have done over previous years. I would like to pass on my personal thanks to Wates and everyone involved in the new build project.
Finally, I would like to thank everyone associated with Campsmount; students, staff, parents, governors and the wider community for your unflinching support and hard work that makes the school such a special place. Have a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful, prosperous New Year.

IMPORTANT NOTE: School will close for Christmas at 2.00pm on Friday 16 December 2011 (buses have been re-arranged for this time) and we will re-open on Tuesday 3 January 2012.
Here are a couple of examples of how we’ve used Jing to create instructional videos for our students to use as a resource to recap on skills they’ve been taught. Not quite TV presenter standard yet but ‘practice makes perfect!”
