Each half term our A-Level Photography students are set a challenge. They are given a topic/phrase and they have to create and shoot a photograph which suits the brief.

Today students in year 7 took part in their ‘Asterix’ themed immersion day with the ICT and MFL departments. This was their first experience of using the Comic Life software and they went on to produce some amazing work. Below is a small sample of the work they produced.
This week A-Level ICT students from Campsmount visited a local professional photographer, Derek Collins. Derek invited them to his photography studio near Askern lake where he explained and demonstrated how the studio works. The students then took photos and learned how the differing lighting arrangements affects the exposure of the subject etc. This was a fantastic opportunity for our students, not only to get tuition from a professional but also to work in a professional environment with professional equipment. We would like to thank Derek for working with our students and giving them this unique opportunity.
