Drama at Campsmount
Drama allows our students the opportunity to improve their personal, social and practical skills. These tools are of great benefit and are essential to succeed in the ever competitive outside world.
We explore Drama in depth through various stimuli to inspire creativity amongst our students. Drama enables our students to shine and showcase the immense talent we have here, whether it be in lessons, or school productions.
Key Stage 3
At KS3 we lay the foundations for many skills, not only essential to Drama, but for their social and personal development and the life they will lead in when they leave school.
Our Curriculum is designed to challenge the norm and inspire students to 'think outside the box' through a range of stimuli from plays and pictures to poetry, and music.
There is also an 'Extended Learning' programme for students in Key Stage 3. Read more about this on the Extended Learning web page.
Key Stage 4
Our G.C.S.E programme of study consist of both practical and theoretical elements of drama. Over the three units the students will be challenged, inspired and motivated to look at things differently and ‘question’ everything.
Events from history along with many other stimuli will be their inspiration. They will produce several practical elements throughout the course ending in a ‘final Performance of play. They will also be given the opportunity to experience live Theatre.
