We are Campsmount!

June 16, 2010 in by Mr Sprakes

Campsmount is an 11-18 co-operative academy situated in the north of Doncaster serving the ex-mining communities of Askern, Campsall and Norton.

At Campsmount we are committed to ensuring that every student aspires and achieves by creating an environment where students feel safe, secure and valued. We are proud that the college was recognised by Ofsted in our last inspection as a ‘good school with outstanding features’ and we are determined to make further progress to provide all our students with the high quality of education they deserve.

The progress we have made at Campsmount has brought us national recognition and as part of our role as a Consultant School for the Specialist School and Academies Trust we have supported and helped over 100 schools to improve curriculum delivery and learning experiences for their students.

In January 2009 Campsmount became the second school in the country and the first in Yorkshire to adopt a Co-operative Trust and in May 2012 we converted to co-operative academy status. These changes have enabled us to build on the positive relationships we already have with learners, parents and the wider community to further enhance learning opportunities and increase chances to succeed. We are proud of the rising standards of achievement at both GCSE and A Level at Campsmount and we believe that we can continue to improve further.

These are exciting times at Campsmount and if you would like to see the school in action, please feel free to contact me, make an appointment and I would be pleased to show you around.
