We held our annual dance show 'Campsmount Come Dancing' on Wednesday 3rd April. This year was our most popular show yet. So much so that we had to put on two shows in one evening!
The theme this year was the 'Evolution of Dance' demonstrating different dance styles throughout the decades. It did not disappoint with everyone displaying some fantastic pieces; from Contemporary to Bollywood, to Hip Hop and the Tango. Students from Year's 2-Year 13 came together to perform to audience of almost 600 people.
This year the competitions were judged by a panel of expert judges including our very own drama teacher Mr Martin, ex student Mary Jane, guest judges Miss Belk and Marie from Active Fusion and Doncaster College and even professional Ballerina and ex student Ebony.
With some tough competition from all our Campsmount students and junior schools eventually Kirk Smeaton and our year 11 students BTEC Dance students were crowned winners of the shows. The whole evening was a big success with some great feedback from audience and staff members. All the students and staff involved should be very proud.
Photographs and a recording of the performance(s) of students from our primary schools has been passed to each school.
We're looking forward to an even bigger and better show next year and thank everyone for their participation and support.
