Cohen Stephenson competed in the Yorkshire swimming championships at the John Charles Centre Leeds recently.
He took part in 8 events and made the final in every one. He is now Yorkshire Champion in 400 medley, 200 backstroke, and 100 backstroke, a silver medalist in 100 breaststroke, 100 butterfly, 200 medley, and bronze medalist in 200 and 100 freestyle. He has worked exceptionally hard in his training and will compete in the Yorkshire sprints at Ponds Forge Sheffield on Saturday 23rd February.
Cohen is working well towards the National Qualifying window which starts on the 22nd March until 27th May. His first gala, to earn national times, is in High Wycombe. He has 3 chances to gain National qualifying times. He will also travel to compete in the North East regional championships in May and is on track to qualify in many of these events.
