Exams Information

Formal exams start on 3rd May 2019 and run to 26th June 2019 with a series of PPE exams (mock's) taking place beforehand.  The External Exams Timetable is provided as a document to download on this page.  Year 11 students have been given their own personalised exam timetable from Miss Lindley.

We have received information from the Examination Boards that states candidates must remain available up to and including Wednesday 26th June 2019. This is due to the awarding bodies having designated a ‘Contingency Day’ for examinations in the event of national or local disruption to the examination timetables. Please ensure your child remains available for exams up to and including the 26th June 2019, your co-operation in this is greatly appreciated.

A link to the formal exams timetable is available on this page.

We have also arranged for some exam intervention sessions, to further support students in their revision leading up to the exams. Students will be able to sign up for these with their teachers.

A Level results day is Thursday 15th August and GCSE Results day is Thursday 22nd August.

Pre Public Examinations (Mock Exams)

There are now three slots on the calendar in late November/early December and January, March and June for exams (now called pre public exams). These are aimed at key stages 4 and 5. These timetables will be available in the useful links section of our website as soon as the dates are confirmed.

We also have PPE exams for year 9 which take place in May and June. Timetables will be put on and taken off as relevant.

Important information about sitting public exams

Make sure you take a look at all the documents attached to this page before sitting your public exams and read the most up-to-date advice from the Joint Council for Qualifications setting out what is expected of all students.  Please also note the following, specific to Campsmount students:

  • Exams will take place on the timetabled day and in the timetabled session, i.e. am or pm.
  • Students should make every effort to attend their exams. If a student is going to be late for their exam or is unable to attend, please inform the school by telephone on 01302 700002 as soon as possible.
  • Unless it is the final chance to take that exam it is unlikely we will be able to apply for special consideration if an exam is missed. You will need to take it in the next available session.

In the event that the school is unable to open for exams at all, we will take advice from the relevant examination board.
