Campsmount Academy

Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is an additional grant given to schools to support students who:

  • have been eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any time in the last six years
  • have been in care for more than six months
  • have parents/ carers in the armed forces

Campsmount has always been committed to ensuring that all students are provided with the opportunities to maximise their potential and we have always strived to ensure students from more disadvantaged backgrounds are provided with the support and guidance necessary to assist and encourage them to do so. The allocation of Pupil Premium funding has enabled the school to continue this drive and further develop initiatives to support our disadvantaged students.

Year 7 ‘Catch Up’ Premium Funding

To assist schools in their efforts to try and ensure that all students have the skills to be able to successfully access the secondary education curriculum, the Government currently provide annual additional funding to schools for each Year 7 student who had not achieved level 4 in reading and / or mathematics at Key Stage 2.

Details of how both Pupil Premium and Year 7 Catch Up funding have been used in the previous year and our current strategy / plan for the use of Pupil Premium funding, are available as pdf attachments on this page.
